The Polish thread is very important in Mackinder’s work. The British geopolitician had to think a lot about observations from the above-mentioned political mission at Denikin’s staff and talks with the most important Polish politicians. Thanks to this, Mackinder came to an independent opinion about Poland’s political and military situation and its difficult geopolitical dilemmas. He was friendly to Poland and this distinguished him from many British politicians at the time, focused only on resolving the issue of the western part of the continent and neutralising the potential hegemony of France and its strengthening based on French communication with the states formed after the collapse of Tsarist Russia and the Habsburg monarchy.
